Birdie & Carol Harris

We are excited to be hosting the Reggie Shive Big Band in concert! This 17-piece group of area musicians plays a variety of jazz and swing tunes from great composers such as Count Basie and Duke Ellington. Named for a former music educator and mentor, the RSBB has played around the tri-state area for several years, including being a featured performer at the Iowa Bandmasters Conference in Des Moines.

Sitting in with the Reggie Shive Big Band will be featured soloist Adam Schroeder. Adam is a former student of our own Kevin Linder, and has performed extensively around the nation, appearing with the bands on popular TV shows like The Voice, American Idol and X-Factor. He is a professor of jazz studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. We can't wait to hear him play that bari saxophone again!
